What is MicroBrief?

MicroBrief is a collection of browser-based tools for working with PDF documents. Our tools allow you to convert, merge, compress, and manipulate PDFs directly in your browser without uploading files to a server.

Do I need to create an account?

No, you don't need an account to use MicroBrief. All tools are available directly in your browser without any sign-up required.

Is MicroBrief free to use?

Yes, MicroBrief is currently available to use. As we grow, we may introduce optional premium features such as cloud storage, batch processing, or advanced tools for users who need them.

Will you add user accounts in the future?

We're exploring the possibility of optional user accounts that would enable features like saving your files to the cloud, accessing your documents from any device, and managing conversion history. These would be entirely optional—you'll always be able to use the basic tools without signing up.

Privacy & Security

Are my files safe?

Yes. Your files are processed securely on our servers using industry-standard encryption. Files are automatically deleted immediately after processing is complete.

We use secure connections and automatically delete all files after processing.

Do you store my files?

No, we do not permanently store your files. Files are temporarily held on our servers only during processing and are automatically deleted immediately afterward. We don't keep copies or backups of your documents.

Can I use MicroBrief for sensitive documents?

Our tools use secure processing and automatic deletion. However, for highly sensitive or confidential documents, always follow your organization's security policies and guidelines.

Technical Questions

Which browsers are supported?

MicroBrief works best on modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. We recommend using the latest version of your browser for the best experience.

Is there a file size limit?

Currently, you can process files up to a certain size depending on your connection and the complexity of the document. For most users, files up to 10-20MB work smoothly. We may introduce options for larger file processing in the future.

Why is processing slow sometimes?

Processing speed can vary based on file size, complexity, and server load. For very large or complex files, you may experience longer processing times. We're continuously working on improving performance.

Do I need an internet connection?

Yes, you need an active internet connection to use MicroBrief as files are processed on our servers. This allows us to provide fast, reliable processing regardless of your device capabilities.

Troubleshooting

The tool isn't working. What should I do?

Try these steps:

  • Refresh the page and try again
  • Clear your browser cache and cookies
  • Try a different browser
  • Make sure your browser is up to date
  • Check if the file format is supported

My converted file looks wrong or is corrupted.

This can happen with complex PDFs that contain special formatting, fonts, or embedded elements. Try using a simpler source file, or contact us with details about the issue.
